DERIDDER—The Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA)  will stampede its way into DeRidder for the DeRidder Lions Club Rodeo on Friday, March 19, and Saturday March 20.

Timothy Vernier, 37, of DeRidder, was arrested Tuesday evening and charged with domestic abuse battery following an investigation into a report received that Vernier shoved a female into a table at during an argument at residence in DeRidder.

The 2010 Census forms are out and the Beauregard Parish Police Jury (BPPJ) wants to get counted.

The DeRidder City Council introduced a new ordinance requiring back flow preventers to be installed on city water lines.
