A $90,000 bond has been set for each of the four men arrested Thursday morning in connection with the two bombs that were left at DeRidder churches.
Nathan Lee, 17, of Rosepine; Sidney Fletcher, 21, of DeRidder; Timothy Free, 18, of DeRidder; and Anthony Martin, 17, of Rosepine were arrested and charged with the felony charges of Aggravated Burglary, Theft and Manufacture and Possession of a Bomb.
They will also be facing additional charges from the DeRidder Police Department for Simple Arson of a Religious Building and from the Vernon Parish Sheriff's Office for the damage done to a Vernon Parish church.
Beginning Wednesday night, the men allegedly vandalized the Cypress Creek Baptist Church located in Vernon Parish and from there went on to burglarize a Frito-Lay truck parked at its distribution plant on La. highway 3226. The men then allegedly robbed a fireworks stand and used those explosives to make the two bombs, one from a Frito-Lay travel mug taken earlier and another out of a five-cell flashlight.
The mug-bomb was detonated outside of Grace Church's Champions Center and resulted in the outside panel of a double-paned glass window being shattered, but there were no injuries.
The second, flashlight bomb, was recovered from the lobby of the Three Pines Apostolic Church after the four men were interrupted while attempting to burglarizing the church.
The bomb was later carefully detonated by Bomb Technician Shelly Hopkins with the use of a robot recovery vehicle.
All other churches within the area were investigated as a precautionary measure on Thursday, but no other bomb devices were found.
