A Ragley man has been arrested in connection with the molestation of a five year-old child.

Terrell “Terry” Menard, age 33 of Ragley, was arrested at 1:20 p.m. on Monday, June 29, at the Beauregard Parish Sheriff’s Office after he turned himself in to Detectives Janet Beebe and Jeanne Faciane.

Menard is now facing charges of one count of Aggravated Incest and another count of Aggravated Oral Sexual Battery. The charges were delivered following an investigation into a report filed Friday, June 26.

According to Chief Deputy Joe Toler, on Friday morning a five year-old female child informed her caregiver that a family member had inappropriate contact with her at a residence in Ragley.

Deputies and Detectives had previously been searching for Menard as he had fled the residence prior to the complaint about the child being made. It is believed that Menard had fled to Lake Charles before at last turning himself in.

Menard was processed into the parish jail where he remains under a $400,000.
