Annette Brown McDonald, 69, passed away Sunday, Jan. 25, 2009 in Lake Charles Memorial Hospital. Born March 12, 1939, in DeRidder, La., she was a lifelong resident who was loved and cherished as a wife, mother, sister, and friend.

She is survived by her husband, Darrell McDonald Sr.; daughter, Belinda McDonald-Paez; son, Darrell McDonald Jr.; four grandchildren, Heather, Josh, Layla and Mattison; siblings Tessie Howell, Cecil Brown Jr., Dollie Urias and Dimple Gamble. She is preceded in death by her mother, Bonnette Brown, father Cecil Brown Sr., and brother Jerry Brown.

Her funeral will be held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, Jan. 28, 2009 at Labby Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in DeRidder with the Rev. Mike McLauren officiating. Burial will follow in Beauregard Cemetery under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 27, 2009 and from 9 a.m. until the time of the service, Wednesday, Jan. 28, 2009 at the funeral home.
