Funeral Services for Kimberly McFatter Knighton, 35, will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 29, 2009, in Labby Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in DeRidder, La., with the Rev. Kenneth Gibson officiating.

Burial will follow in Whitaker Cemetery near DeRidder under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home.

She passed away Monday, Jan. 26, 2009, in St. Francis Medical Center in Monroe, La.

Kimberly was born in Lake Charles, La., and lived in DeRidder for most of her life. She was a nurse and was formerly employed at Beauregard Memorial Hospital in DeRidder. She had lived in Monroe for the past two and a half years and was a nurse at St. Francis Medical Center.

She is survived by two sons, Devin Xavier Knighton and Darius Da’mon Knighton, both of Monroe; her mother, Mickie J. Cooley and step-father Terry Glen of DeRidder; and one sister, Kristi McFatter Gill of DeRidder. She was preceded in death by her father, Randall L. McFatter.

Visitation will be from 3 p.m. until 9 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 28, 2009 and from 9 a.m. until time of service on Thursday, Jan. 29, 2009 in Labby Memorial Funeral Home in DeRidder.
