The subdistrict all-star tournament for 14-year-olds occurred at the DeRidder youth baseball field last weekend. It determined the seeds for these same teams in the all-star district tournament this coming weekend at Moss Bluff.

Rosepine’s lack of timely hitting and trouble finding the strike zone proved costly on the road at Kinder Tuesday in summer baseball. Kinder beat Rosepine 6-2.

DeRidder Dodgers (8-6) head coach Greg Hanchey said those words after his team lost back-to-back games by one run each on the road Monday and Tuesday in summer baseball.

Missed offensive opportunities offensively with key pitching and defensive plays defined the game Monday night when South Beau travelled to Leesville for summer baseball. South Beau managed to capitalize a little more on offense and won 3-1.
